On 30 November 2023, we at the Flexim Foundation were delighted to join in the cooking and lend a hand at the Participatory Kitchen, alongside a dedicated team of 15 volunteers.
The evening centred around a communal table for around 80 guests, with the aim of fostering meaningful connections. By cooking, serving and, above all, sitting down together at the table, space was created for conversation, new contacts and connection.
The Participatiekeuken demonstrates how food brings people together. It was special for us to contribute to this and to experience how a simple meal can become a moment of genuine attention and togetherness.
We look back with pride on this inspiring evening and thank all the volunteers and everyone involved who made this possible.
